MY EPIC JOURNEY - 2 Semesters
Understanding how to use God-given resources for God-given goals and purposes. As a homeschool parent, you want your high school students to follow God and make an impact. But how do you guide them through tricky topics like their purpose and origin, morality and civic responsibility? We are homeschool parents too - and we have felt the tension of raising adults! That's why we developed this interactive, media-based course to help your students on their own epic journey.
RON BLUE FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP - 2 Semesters
Understanding how to use God-given resources for God-given goals and purposes. As a parent, teacher or administrator, you want your high school students to follow God's principles on money. But how do you teach them about stewardship, giving, saving and budgeting? We are homeschool parents too - and we have felt the tension of raising fiscally responsible adults! That's why we developed this interactive, media-based course in partnership with the great folks at Ron Blue.
The following courses are currently in production and we hope to have them available in the fall.
THE OLD TESTAMENT: 2 SEMESTERS
epic’s Old Testament curriculum is intentionally designed to help students understand God’s character and His history with humanity, illuminating His saving promises that were ultimately fulfilled in Christ. The Old Testament is the record of the nation of Israel—God’s chosen people who struggle to follow Him time and time again— anticipating the coming hope of The Messiah.
THE NEW TESTAMENT: 2 SEMESTERS
epic’s New Testament curriculum is intentionally designed to help students understand how God’s Word speaks to every aspect of our lives today, while simultaneously communicating the story of God restoring His relationship with mankind— reconciling us to Him through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. The first three weeks of our New Testament curriculum gives students an overview of the New Testament that emphasizes its scope and sequence, and the subsequent lessons provide a more comprehensive study of each Gospel, book, and letter— from Matthew to Revelation.
LIFE CALLING: ONE SEMESTER
Life Calling teaches foundational discipleship principles designed to shape students’ lives, ultimately showing them how to fulfill the Great Commandment with the Great Commission. In the Life Calling curriculum, the concepts of purpose, identity, and calling are expanded, as are the Eight Power Players of Culture—ultimately revealing how a student’s passions align with culture.
APOLOGETICS: ONE SEMESTER
epic’s Apologetics curriculum aims to teach Christian students essential concepts relating to defending their faith before they go to college. The curriculum covers everything from the historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, the problems of evil and suffering, and dealing with doubt, to how to resolve conflict with a friend/ roommate, what healthy dating relationships look like, and how to discover God’s will. Upon completion of the epic Apologetics curriculum, students will have developed a confidence in following Jesus, and they will have the right tools to live a life that honors God as they go forth into the world!
THEOLOGY: ONE SEMESTER
epic is thrilled to partner with Jonathan Morrow—one of our world’s most brilliant minds in understanding Gen Z—as he takes students on the journey of understanding how God’s Word stands firm in changing cultures throughout history. Morrow acknowledges that our students naturally have questions when approaching the Bible, and he helps students approach God’s Word with these questions in a way that actually strengthens their faith!
